Dental Warranty Certificate – Patient Information
Purposes of issuing the Dental Warranty Certificate:
- We provide our patients with a long-term warranty for the dental treatments performed.
- During the warranty period, any treatment covered by the warranty will be repaired or replaced free of charge.
- The patient is informed in detail that the warranty can be maintained for many years by attending regular check-ups and oral hygiene treatments at our clinic, as prescribed according to their individual condition (at least once a year). Failure to attend these appointments will result in the loss of the warranty.
Issuing the Dental Warranty Certificate:
Following the completion and delivery of larger-scale dental work performed within the same treatment period, a single certificate is issued covering all treatments carried out during that period (fillings, dental restorations, implants, etc.). The certificate is also attached to the patient's electronic treatment record.
Information regarding the Dental Warranty Certificate is provided before, during and at the end of treatment:
- Dental work requires regular care and maintenance. A warranty can only be provided if proper oral hygiene is maintained both by the patient at home and through professional care at our clinic. If the patient fails to follow the instructions provided (e.g. does not attend the prescribed treatments), the warranty will become void.
- Our dental hygienist provides advice regarding oral hygiene at home. We kindly ask patients to follow these recommendations.
- As a condition of the warranty, patients are required to attend a check-up at our clinic at least once every six months. Attendance is recorded in the patient's dental record. If the patient does not attend a dental check-up at our clinic for more than one year (365 + 30 days), we can no longer provide the warranty.
- Provided that the patient attends regular dental check-ups, the standard warranty periods are: 15 years for implants, 5 years for bridges and 3 years for fillings. For other treatments, warranties may be provided on an individual basis, for example: 1 year for oral hygiene treatments, laser periodontal pocket treatment, root canal treatment, teeth whitening, etc.
- Further details and individual questions should be discussed with the treating dentist.
- The dates and details of treatments are recorded in the patient's electronic treatment record, to which the Warranty Certificate is also attached.
