HELBO therapy is gentle and effective

Bacteria can cause oral csvity problems, for example:

  • bleeding gums
  • gum atrophy
  • unpleasant breath
  • toothache
  • loosening of teeth
  • tooth loss
  • loss of implant

The oral cavity contains more than 500 different bacteria and many fungi, which are an important part of the digestive system as they process the protein and break down the food residue. Ideally, bacteria and fungi are in equilibrium and are self-regulating.

However, the system is sensitive. Depending on your general health, the condition of your teeth, and the type of dental treatment you have, acute and chronic infections can occur. Infections can cause an imbalance that favors the growth of pathogenic bacteria. It is common for chronic inflammations in the mouth to affect the entire human body. We now know that heart disease, infarction and premature birth can be the cause of inflammation.

HELBO therapy is based on the use of a low energy laser. Laser light does not produce heat, but has an analgesic effect.

Depending on the indication, the symptoms of inflammation may improve after one or a few treatments.

HELBO therapy can accelerate the healing process without any side effects.

It only takes a few minutes to treat a tooth or area.

Unlike rinsing solutions, HELBO therapy can be used effectively in areas that are difficult to access.

Its effectiveness has been proven in more than 50 scientific articles.

Infected areas are thoroughly cleaned. The treated area is covered with a blue dye solution. Because the therapy involves intensive staining of bacteria, after treatment, a bluish-colored surface discoloration remains in the infected areas and sometimes in the visible part of the oral cavity, which, however, is self-absorbed after two to four hours. There are no known side effects or allergenic effects of ink absorption. A gentle laser light activates the solution. The use of the light-dye solution and the laser light assembly generates highly reactive oxygen, leading to the extermination of bacteria and fungi.
